The Truth About Sports Betting*Gambling

Hi, my name is Tony. I am a fitness coach, internet marketer, former professional sports handicapper, blogger, and most importantly, a father and husband to an amazing family. I am here to let you in on one of the most demanding subjects this time of year in the sports world, Sports Betting & Gambling.

I am a former professional handicapper with yes, a winning record. In 2009-2010, I was #1 in college football out of 30+ handicappers on numerous websites that are documented such as SuperiorDaily, TopRatedCappers, and 10StarPicks.com just to name a few. Through out my 7 + years in the handicapping business, I have learned the inside information on what really is the truth with the handicapping world. I know what type of person demands their services, why they stick with these services even though they get losing picks time and time again, and I also can tell you how most picks are made, even when they are advertised as guaranteed winners.

Do handicappers matter? Well they do to an extent. I can tell you this. You can flip a coin on any game of the week and have just as good as odds to win a game then one you pay for. In 2009, week 12 in college football, I went 13-1 on that Saturday. I was on a hot streak and no one was going to beat me. Handicappers get on streaks of hot and cold and it is gold when you catch a handicapper in weeks where they just don't lose. How often does that happen? Well you luck of flipping a coin and winning a game is just as good. It is always 50/50.

I have had clients pay for my services only to catch me on a week where i would go 3-6. Then they would come back and purchase my subscription for the next week just to hope that I would get back on track to where I was 2 weeks ago when I made them a few thousand dollars. They are double betting. This is what most bettors get involved with. The inability to control their emotions. First, they are gambling on my streaks, second, they are gambling on my picks. They think handicapper joe here that got them up a few thousand dollars can do it again and again. Chances are slim that these winning streaks can happen long enough to make a big profit by the end of the year.

Some handicappers have a special that they run, calling it a 80,000 bankroll program. Have these worked? Of course! Does it work all the time? Of course not! THe deal goes like this, you start out with 10k, they win one game for ya and turn it into 20k, roll it over to raise you to 40k, and then roll it over again a third time in a row to bring your initial 10k to 80k. Sounds like a great plan. It is! When it works. How many 10k spots do you have to try? No matter how big your bankroll, no one likes to lose 10k in 3 hours.

You can go around choosing different handicappers all season long and hoping to catch one on a winning streak. You can go up to the sportsbook and listen to what majority of the public is betting and then bet against them, you can say that the the Dolphins won a huge MNF home upset game this week against the Patriots, now they travel across the nation to Oakland and play the raiders on one day short of rest so now you are going to pick against them. I know all the mental strategies, cause I used to use them in helping me make picks. The truth is, what happens is gonna happen. There is only one way to beat the books, and one way only. That is to invest in the games that you don't plan to bet on. What do you mean you ask? Well, everytime you bet on a game that you pick, you are betting against humans. Humans get injured, and things happen that could totally change the outcome of a game in seconds. This is what I mean.

If you want to truly win in the game of sports betting, you can. You just have to be wise and be willing to learn the difference between betting and investing. Betting is when you are betting on the outcome of a game. Investing is when you put your money on something that will win no matter who is injured, no matter the weather, and no matter the outcome.

There is only one way to win. That is, knowing the odds of all sportsbooks in the world that have posted odds and finding a gap in between two books odds that give you the opportunity to win no matter what happens. Do you have the time nor the patience to find all odds out there amongst thousands of sportsbooks odds and calculate them to see where you can find a gap. I know I don't.

In my years of handicapping, the truth as to why i left the handicapping business was becasue there was a much better system to make money out there that no one knows about.
