CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (also known as CSI or less frequently, CSI: Las Vegas) can be an American crime drama television set series, which premiered on CBS on October 6, 2000. The show was created by Anthony E. Zuiker and produced through Jerry Bruckheimer. It is filmed largely at Universal Studios inside Universal City, California.
The series follows Las vegas criminalists (identified because "Crime Scene Investigators" being employed by the Las Vegas Police Department instead of the actual title of "Crime Landscape Analysts" and "Las Las vegas Metropolitan Police Department") as they use physical evidence to unravel grisly murders in that unusually graphic drama, which has inspired tons of other cop-show "procedurals".
